Are you an experienced yogi or meditator who just can’t get to class, but wants to practice with others under expert guidance? Do you want to deepen your practises? You can be living anywhere in the world – this is truly a global class that I am offering. Just imagine that in your busy life you can now make a phone call and have a class without travelling anywhere, and in your own quiet space. I am offering “teleclasses” where you simply Skype in or phone a “bridge line” with either your speakerphone or headset “on” and we do our class!
Yoga classes for experienced students:
Satyananda yogi’s know that for most of the class we are not watching the teacher – just listening. I am the ideal teacher for using this medium as I have a great reputation for clarity in presenting Yoga practices. The Satyananda system is ideal for teleclasses and it means that
- those who live way out in the country or don’t have a local teacher can have a weekly class in the Satyananda style
- those who are teaching and would like a class which includes a deeper awareness from an experienced teacher can do so
It’s so simple. We can all talk to each other and there will be time to ask questions and check your understanding of the practices. I can also mute out the snorers during Yoga Nidra and if you miss a class you can get the mp3! WOW! Have you seriously consider the pros and cons of this form of communication? To quote some of my students:
- You can remain in the serenity of your own environment.
- There is no travel time.
- If you miss a class you can do it at any time using the mp3 recording.
- You don’t have to go out if it’s too hot or too cold.
- For mums with tiny babies, you wouldn’t need a babysitter as you could do your practices while the baby is sleeping.
- If you’re away from home, as long as there’s a phone nearby you can join your class
- there’s nobody for you to watch, so awareness of your own practice becomes easier
- You’ve only got yourself to compete with.
On the other hand:
- I can only imagine exactly what you are doing, so you miss the opportunity of being corrected as you practice. If you have Skype and a Webcam then we can arrange to do a video link as needed.
- You will need to take time to settle at the beginning of your practices and find the right volume and position for your speaker.
Just think of all the greenhouse gasses you are saving by not travelling!
Feedback from students:
“I am valueing so much your classes and your style of teaching; a lightness that does not detract from the depth and power of the practices: the benefits flow not just to myself, but on to my students as well. In these last 2 weeks, your introduction to Antar Mouna has been particularly valuable in that way” Avati, SA
“I have just finished a profound morning practice based on Friday’s (tele)class …..when I began yoga some 6 years ago I used to say the classes were so ‘right’ for me it felt as if my teacher had rung to see what I needed. Now this is happening with your classes.” Gayatri, Qld
“I just wanted to let you know how thoroughly enjoyable and useful your teleclasses are (I love your laugh). So far my life does not permit me to actually join the teleclass (the timings), but the speedy delivery of the mp3 recordings are great and I particularly look forward to the promised chakra theme.” Pauline, Qld
“Thank you Bhakti for giving us a chance to bring us together through mutual practice of Satyananda Yoga despite the distances, the times and all other differences. This course has been very important and valuable for me, since we began.” Svetlana, Co., USA
